Enercon, also based in Aylesbury, has installed multiple Super Seal™ Max machines into the mega-dairy site run by Arla Foods.

Last week Mr Lidington attended the dairy’s official opening and saw Enercon’s machines at work as they seal 1.5 million bottles of milk a day.

Speaking after the event, Mr Lidington said: “It’s great to see an enterprising small firm like Enercon winning business with Arla.

“It shows how the spin-off from a big business investment brings wider growth and job creation.

“I know that the team at Enercon had to show that they made a top quality product at a competitive price.

“I am delighted by the firm’s success. Congratulations to all the team at Enercon.”

Richard Bull, managing director of Enercon Industries Ltd, added: “Having supplied Arla for many years in their dairies across the UK, I believe it is testament to the quality of Enercon’s equipment and service that this new super site has continued to work with our world leading cap sealing technology.

“We’re grateful to Mr Lidington for his continued support of local businesses.”

Every year around 4bn plastic milk bottles are supplied to UK supermarkets and almost all of these are sealed by an Enercon machine.
