Case Study
Part of the Vetoquinol global family, dedicated to the well-being of animals and people, Vetoquinol Biowet in Poland has always sealed their veterinary products by induction cap sealing. This gives their customers peace of mind that the product hasn’t been tampered with as well as an extended shelf-life.
Wanting a reliable seal for their cat eye drops, which are sold in a 100 ml bottle with a tall eye drop 16mm diameter cap, Vetoquinol turned to Enercon.
Daniel Adamski Investment Specialist for Vetoquinol said “We chose Enercon because of the wealth of application experience of the market leader and because of the collaboration with us in sealing trials to ensure a perfect seal for this difficult to seal container and cap”.
An eye drop cap is much taller than many closures and without an appropriate induction sealing head it would be difficult to get a reliable seal. Enercon have a range of induction coils to suit closures of all types and in this instance the deep narrow tunnel coil delivered consistent reliable seals even for such a small diameter cap/foil.
The production of this product was transferred in from another country, so in building the new line Vetoquinol Biowet replaced their manual sealer with an Enercon Super Seal™75 with a deep narrow tunnel coil. To ensure maximum productivity and seal quality a Sentri-System controller with a backlog detector, foil sensor and an ejector system was also fitted.
Running at a conveyor speed of 16 metres per minute Vetoquinol Biowet have made efficiencies in personnel, reducing production costs and have gained the brand reputation protection that a perfect hermetic seal offers.
Daniel Adamski finished by saying “I would happily recommend Enercon and its induction sealing machines to anyone who wants quality advice and sealing”.
