Spanish Spice Manufacturer Preserves Products with Enercon’s Induction Sealing Technology
Spanish spice manufacturer Mari Paz has relied on Enercon’s induction sealing technology for over 15 years, to protect the quality, freshness and integrity of its products.
Recently, the company upgraded its 16-year-old Enercon equipment to the latest Super Seal™ range, to continue to add hermetic seals to their range.
Learn why Mari Paz chose to induction seal its spices:
MAINTAINING COLOUR, AROMA AND FRESHNESS
Mari Paz turned to induction sealing as a solution to preserve the natural qualities of its spices and infusions. Initially, the company used tamper-evident closures but sought a more effective method to achieve a fully hermetic seal.
Managing Director Enrique Montserrat commented:
“Initially, we worked with label-type seals, but they weren’t hermetically sealed. In the manufacture of spices and infusions, it is essential to have completely sealed packaging, as our products quickly lose their original colour, aroma and flavour due to light exposure and oxidation. We chose induction cap sealing because it offered hermetic seals, but we soon discovered it also preserved freshness, colour and aroma much more effectively. Induction sealing is fantastic for maintaining the original flavour of spices.”
By preventing exposure to air and light, induction sealing significantly extends product shelf life while maintaining quality.
ENHANCING BRAND IMAGE AND EFFICIENCY
Induction sealing has delivered a range of operational and commercial benefits for Mari Paz, as Montserrat explained:
“We have improved our brand image and achieved a level of quality unmatched in our industry. Since implementing induction sealing, we have attracted more customers due to the enhanced quality of our packaging. We have also improved productivity and eliminated product leakage. The tamper-evident seal gives us great peace of mind and has significantly increased customer satisfaction.”
LONG-TERM RELIABILITY AND PERFORMANCE
Over 15 years ago, Mari Paz installed several automatic Super Seal™ machines, which have been operating daily ever since. Renowned for their reliability, robust construction, and minimal maintenance requirements, Enercon’s machines are known to deliver consistent performance year after year. Recently, Mari Paz upgraded one of these units to take advantage of the latest Super Seal™ technology from Enercon Industries, further enhancing efficiency.
TRUSTED PARTNERSHIP AND SUPPORT
Mari Paz worked closely with Enercon’s Spanish distributor, Quatropack, to implement and optimise its sealing systems.
Speaking about Enercon’s machines and support, Montserrat said:
“We knew Enercon’s machines were the best on the market for quality and low maintenance. The fast and efficient service from Quatropack has been excellent. We also received essential training to ensure the machines are used correctly and to achieve perfect seals every time.”
By investing in induction sealing technology and upgrading to the latest Super Seal™ range, Mari Paz continues to protect product quality, enhance its brand reputation, and improve operational efficiency
