Enercon Industries is celebrating after being commended in the prestigious PPMA Group Industry Awards.
The induction cap sealing company was named a finalist in two categories of the awards which recognise and celebrate the very best in British manufacturing.
Employees from Enercon’s European headquarters, based in Aylesbury, attended the gala event held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham along with hundreds of industry leaders, press and government.
On the night it was announced that Enercon had been ‘commended’ in the category titled Exceptional Sales and Company Growth.
The induction cap sealing company was also named a finalist in the Processing and Packaging Manufacturer of the Year category.
“It has been an enormous honour (and achievement) to have been nominated for these two significant awards, and it is simply the icing on the cake to have been commended in the Sales Growth category. It is testament to the hard work of every member of the Enercon team to have been recognised in this way and it is hugely satisfying for our industry peers to have been the ones to bestow these honours on us.”
A spokesman for the PPMA added: “In what was an extremely competitive year with the highest amount of entries since the awards were introduced, to make the shortlist in itself was a huge achievement.”
The event, which included 13 categories, was hosted by impressionist Rory Bremner and news presenter Helen Fospero.
